About Phoenix

This is a space where you can pause

To step back from the pace and pressure, and take time to reflect on what’s really going on — in your health, your daily life, and what matters most to you.

Together, we look at how you are living day to day — your routines, your energy, your environment — and where things may no longer be working as they once did.

We work in a way that feels collaborative, thoughtful and grounded, supporting you to make changes that are realistic, meaningful and sustainable.

There’s no rush here.

This is a space to slow things down, to be heard, and to make sense of where you are — before thinking about what comes next.

Together, we create a way forward that supports your independence, confidence and ability to live well in a way that feels right for you.

Phoenix OT Consultancy was created in 2026 by Kate Nuttall. It is grounded in a simple yet powerful belief: that people do their best work and live their fullest lives when they feel supported, connected, and able to be authentically human.

When people are given the time and space to be heard, to pause, reflect and reconnect with what matters to them, something shifts.

And change becomes possible in a way that is sustainable, not overwhelming.

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy is about everyday life — the things you need and want to do, at home, at work, and in the moments that matter most.

When something changes — your health, your energy, your circumstances — those things don’t always feel as easy as they once did.

This is where Occupational Therapy comes in.

It creates space to pause, understand what’s changed, and work together to find practical, realistic ways forward — so you can feel more confident, independent, and able to live your life in a way that feels right for you.

Phoenix OT Consultancy was created to offer that space — alongside the experience and expertise to support meaningful, lasting change.

About Kate

I’m Kate — a mum, HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist, Health and Wellbeing Coach and founder of Phoenix OT Consultancy.

After over 25 years in the NHS, I reached a point where I needed to pause and reflect on how I wanted to live and work in a way that felt more aligned and sustainable.

My work is shaped not just by professional experience, but by personal change — motherhood, identity shifts, and navigating life’s more difficult moments.

I created Phoenix to offer a different kind of space and timely expertise — one that is human, compassionate, and grounded in what really matters.

I often meet people at a point where something isn’t working in the way it used to. Sometimes that’s following illness or injury. Sometimes it’s the impact of ongoing pressure, change, or simply the pace of life.

What I’ve come to understand is that supporting people well often means looking beyond the immediate problem.

It means creating space considering the wider context of life and work. As a qualified Health and Wellbeing Coach, this is where coaching has become an important part of my work.

Alongside Phoenix, I’m working in partnership with myonlinecoach.com, as their Head of Health and Wellbeing, supporting individuals and organisations to think differently about wellbeing, resilience and sustainable change.

Coaching complements Occupational Therapy by offering space to explore not just what needs to change, but how change can happen in a way that feels realistic and lasting. Particularly in areas such as:
• Burnout and pressure
• Life and career transitions
• Workplace wellbeing
• Creating sustainable ways of living and working

For me, this isn’t about adding something new.
It’s about deepening the way I can support people — recognising that health, work and life are always connected.
